My thoughts on "cryptoart," even after watching that video: I still make it. Why? I see the various crypto environments (particularly the low-key ones, like "TEZOS,") as affordable places to PUBLISH my art for a potentially global audience. I get why many folks see crypto as a scam / Ponsi scheme / joke, but I have honestly made more in six years of publishing to blockchain based platforms than I did even why I was driving my artwork hundreds of miles to physical galleries and selling paintings. PLUS, I'm not gouging anyone. In "real life," I sell my art for $10 to $30 per painting USD. In the CRYPTO world, I price my artwork at 13 Tezos, which is usually about $10 USD. If anyone is interested, (and I HAVE done this a few times,) I will MAIL the original paper drawing to them, once they collect the digital version (for my ONE-OF-ONE, unique pieces...) I'm also a big fan of ZINES, collages, and mail-art, so I'm totally cool with the whole: JUST SEND A HANDMADE POSTCARD to someone without charging them a penny thing. Art is for expressing oneself AND for SHARING!!! That's why I do what I do...
