Happy people are easy to ambush!

This is a paragraph! Here's a link that will let you go back to page one: Page ONE.

Here's how you can make bold and italic text.

So fuckin' thrilling!!!!

I created these images:

[Note from 19 June 2024: I discovered a couple of days ago that PATREON does a shitty thing to the people who use it's platform. They TIME STAMP the images, so I can't (nor can anyone else, I would imagine) link directly to images that I post on my own Patreon page... Even if they're MY images. That seems like it should be a no brainer: My picture; I uploaded it; I can share it where I want... Nope. The two previous images are now "lost media," in a way... Primarily because I can't remember which images they were... Good info to know, though! Learning all the time!!!]

(That final image was from 2011!)

Saturday. I've been busy, digging through the past, posting shit online, and watching neat stuff on the interwebs! The one I watched TODAY that I really enjoyed was called, "The June Archive and Restoration Project." It's a series of short, weird, digital videos with fantastic, nostalgic, simple animation and a haunting, evil tone. Very entertaining! And there was even a new episode uploaded just a few days ago! Worth watching! (And tell them I sent you!)

GAK!

Speaking of digging into the past, here is a lovely little birdy that I posted on PATREON WAAAAYYY back in 2017!
Kinda funny, ain't it?
[Again, because this image was posted to Patreon, it's gone. However, I DO remember which one this was, so I can re-share it! ---RFY (HF)]

I've been thinking quite a bit about the FUTURE lately. Archiving, cataloging, distributing, and attempting to SAVE my artworks and such have become pressing concerns. I have a large quantity of material online, which is better than everything I've ever written or drawn being stuck in a box in my closet or garage; however, I am also painfully aware that online archives are NOT permanent. As I've mentioned on numerous other websites and blogs that I've created over the last few decades, I've seen SEVERAL (even several HIGH PROFILE) websites crash and burn and disappear, along with tons of artwork and written materials and uncountable hours of time and effort... It happens. I would really like to take steps to help mitigate this "OBLIVION EFFECT."

One thought that I've considered is treating my work as a virus, a MIND VIRUS, that can creep into a million spaces and INFECT THEM. That is, essentially, my plan now, to drop the ARTZ and WORDZ in as many places as possible, so that it ("IT" being "THE GREAT WORK") has the best opportunity of taking root... I won't be around forever, and neither will the evidence of my scribbling, but if I put it OUT THERE, it's more likely to outlive me, and that's what I'm hoping for... Nothing is guaranteed, but if I spread MORE MINDVIRUS DNA throughout the world, there is a higher probability of success! BAM!!!

My final bit for today is a poem!

"Mutilation…"

of the packing tape)

Posted on April 9, 2010 to the FEAR THE BUNNYHEADSQUAD blog!

I'll probably be back in a day or two with more stuff! Meanwhile, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE SKIES!!! (Or come find me on WARPCAST if you do that whole WARPING thing!!!)

LAAAATER!!! ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)
