KEEP or TRADE: KEEP!! Let's start this project with a good one! Weasel Patrol was from the "FUNNY ANIMAL" revival of the late '80s that kicked up thanks to Mirage Studios' surprise hit, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. (Maybe you heard of them??) Indie, black and white books were the spirit of the day, this one in particular is VERY silly, but I like the cartooning style quite a bit. The mood vaguely reminds me of KRAZY KAT or POGO or some classic, old, newspaper comic-strips.

As for the story, it's non-serious, and I actually enjoy that. Tons of gags, bizarre plot twists, UFOs... Yeah, this story has it all. For folks who have no idea what this book is about, the premise is wonderfully absurd: Scientifically enhanced weasels have been drafted into law enforcement in a world where humans and animals live together. This tale is set in a throw-back, Old West village, although I think the tale is set in the modern day (of the late 1980s.) Good stuff!

I've had this book since it first came out, but it was produced by Eclipse Comics, one of the tragic victims of the comics' speculator book of the early 1990s. This company, though, put out some very entertaining (and genre stretching) books, and if I ever spot an Eclipse book in a 50 cent bin, there is a very good chance it's coming home with me. Keep an eye out!!!

So, yeah, I'm keeping this one! I'll definitely read it again, someday... Unfortunately, that means my TRADE list is still, currently empty. I better get to reading, so I can find some books to trade away!
